The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of professionals committed to supporting children and young people (aged 0-25) with sensory impairments.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide expert guidance to the Sensory Service Manager and team members on best practices for educating children with VI.
* Manage a personal caseload, offering both advisory and direct teaching support to children with VI.
* Contribute to the development of policies and practices within the service to address evolving national and local challenges.
**Requirements:**
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Mandatory Qualification in Vision Impairment (QTVI).
* Significant experience working with children and young people with vision impairments.
* A deep understanding of safeguarding and child protection requirements, particularly within the context of sensory impairments.
* Up-to-date knowledge of SEND policies and practices, especially as they relate to teaching and learning.
* A valid driver's licence and access to a car.
