Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Primary School setting. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support and promote the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Class Teachers: Assist in the preparation of resources and lesson plans to meet the unique needs of SEN students.
  • 1:1 Support: Provide individualized support to students under the supervision of the class teacher, focusing on skills-based learning and promoting independence.
  • Progress Monitoring: Collaborate with class teachers to track student progress and report on achievements using evidence-based approaches.
  • Student Wellbeing: Contribute to the provision of support necessary to ensure students' wellbeing and ability to engage in learning.
  • Safeguarding: Understand and implement safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure learning environment.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Experience: Prior experience working in an educational setting, preferably in a similar role, is ideal but not necessary.
  • Skills: Initiative, organizational skills, prioritization, and the ability to take proactive actions.
