Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Towcester. The successful candidate will provide support to students with Autism and other associated challenges, promoting a differentiated, engaging, and challenging curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Senior LSA's and Teachers in preparing resources to meet the personalized learning intentions of allocated students.
  • Provide 1:1 support under the supervision of the class Teacher for the delivery of skills-based learning.
  • Collaborate with the class Teacher to report on progress using an evidence-based approach.
  • Enable students to learn by understanding their learning goals and targets, practicing new skills, and challenging them to be as independent as possible.
  • Be involved in the provision of all aspects of support necessary to ensure students' wellbeing and ability to function and engage in learning.
  • Understand and implement Safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting is ideal but not necessary.
Desirable Skills:
  • Initiative to take proactive actions.
  • Organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Prioritisation skills to handle multiple responsibilities.
