Electronics and Controls Design Engineer Opportunity

Complete Talent Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Electronics and Controls Design Engineer to join our global client's Innovation/R&D Department.

The primary objective of this role is to provide design and development support to the Electronics and Controls part of the business, working alongside senior team members. You will be involved in the development of various processes, including PCB Design, Microprocessors, Sensors, and Communications.

Key qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, with a demonstrable background in a similar role. Experience with Altium and AutoCAD - Autodesk Inventor is advantageous. Knowledge of machine control systems/automation is also beneficial, although on-the-job training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop electronic sub-systems and products, either directly or in conjunction with development partners.
  • Design electronic systems, create technical specifications, validate throughout the design process, test, and verify.
Essential Skills:
  • Microprocessors and digital electronics
  • Interfacing to sensors and systems
  • Communication standards (RS232, 485, I2C, Ethernet, MODBUS, etc.)
  • Fault finding at component and board level
  • Use of test equipment (meters, scopes, data capture)
  • Soldering and wire assembly

This is a hybrid working opportunity, with a minimum of 3 days in the office. The working hours are Monday to Thursday, 0830 - 1700, and Friday, 0830 - 1200.
