Job Summary:

The primary function of a Senior Visual Designer is to create innovative designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on design principles and concepts. A successful designer must possess a high level of creativity and be able to effectively communicate ideas to both internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform broad, conceptual ideas into practical and valuable solutions for users
  • Design user-friendly flows and experiences that simplify complex actions into intuitive interfaces
  • Develop new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systems
  • Collaborate with designers and the product team to continually improve the quality of designs
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content designers to oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch
  • Effectively communicate design goals and concepts to a broader product team and other leaders

Requirements:

  • Experience in building and shipping multiple features with broad/ambiguous scope and end-to-end experience across various platforms
  • Interaction design experience with knowledge of how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs and considering scalability
  • Visual design experience with proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography, and aesthetic sense
  • Strategic product thinking with experience in developing product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on impact to people and the company
