Main Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of staff, providing regular supervision and annual appraisals to ensure high-quality care and support for children.
- Monitor staff performance, addressing any concerns and following due process to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Facilitate regular team briefings, meetings, and training sessions to ensure effective communication and the cascading of information.
- Manage a budget for the provision, ensuring best value and maintaining accurate records for financial reporting.
- Develop and implement personalized target setting for children, with regular reporting to the local authority.
- Oversee health and safety arrangements, including first aid, risk assessments, and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Lead on behavioral intervention strategies, developing Positive Behaviour Support plans to support children's needs.
- Embed diversity and equality policies in all aspects of work, promoting these principles among colleagues, service users, and the community.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, undertaking additional duties as required.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Children and Young People's residential services or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Children's residential care, with evidence of leadership skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and demonstrate financial acumen.
- Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
