About the Facility
Nestled within beautifully landscaped grounds, Priory Hospital Chelmsford is an independent facility specializing in the treatment of adults and adolescents with diverse mental health issues. Our highly skilled team comprises consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and therapists, all committed to fostering a recovery-focused environment.
The hospital accommodates up to 60 service users, offering both residential treatment and outpatient services, including dedicated facilities for younger individuals.

Our experienced multidisciplinary team develops personalized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches.
Role Responsibilities
As a Payroll Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll.
- Maintaining payroll systems and records by accurately gathering, calculating, and inputting data.
- Collaborating with the HR team to ensure accurate employee data is integrated into the payroll system, with all necessary amendments completed by specified deadlines.
- Ensuring proper documentation is filed for financial audits, facilitating efficient retrieval of essential documents.
- Assisting in the recruitment process by providing administrative support, from job advertisement to onboarding new employees.
- Conducting pre- and post-employment checks to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Coordinating with managers to schedule employee rosters well in advance, considering holidays and training.
- Managing requests for leave and other absences.
- Addressing employee inquiries regarding payroll, escalating complex issues as necessary.
- Providing administrative support to other roles on-site as needed.
- Performing ad hoc administrative tasks as required.
