About the Role:
The City of London Police is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to take on the role of Chief Superintendent or Superintendent on promotion. As the lead for Local Policing, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of responsibilities, including Public Contact, Neighbourhoods, and the taskforce, which incorporates Firearms and Specialist Policing Units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Local Policing Directorate, ensuring effective delivery of policing services to the community.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve public contact and neighbourhood policing, working closely with stakeholders and partners.
- Oversee the taskforce, which includes Firearms and Specialist Policing Units, ensuring effective coordination and delivery of policing services.
- Collaborate with other directorates and departments to ensure a cohesive and effective policing service.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership and management experience in a policing or related field.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
