The Role: Lead Application Developer

We're seeking a talented Lead Application Developer to join our dynamic services delivery team. You will play a pivotal role in leading projects focused on application development, encompassing web applications, APIs, and cloud services.

Your responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with clients to understand their needs, designing, developing, testing, and deploying innovative software solutions that meet their specific requirements. You'll leverage your technical expertise and consultancy experience to deliver high-quality applications and services, working seamlessly with colleagues to ensure projects deliver tangible value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Successfully deliver application development projects for our clients within our development team.
  • Lead application development projects utilizing Simpson's established project methodology.
  • Serve as a technical expert in application development, ensuring the production of secure, resilient, and scalable code and solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, design, develop, test, and deploy effective solutions.
  • Deliver projects reliably within defined timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to project estimates as part of the development team.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential project issues at the earliest stages.
  • Provide support to Consultants and Senior Consultants in the delivery of projects.
Skills and Attributes Required:
  • 3+ years of experience working with .NET (C#).
  • 3+ years of experience working with Angular (2+).
  • Experience delivering solutions within Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and automation processes.
  • Technical expertise in full-stack development, including ASP.NET, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
  • Familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing development, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience working with and integrating data within applications, including T-SQL knowledge and the use of Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools (preferably Entity Framework).
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • Ability to lead projects and effectively communicate with clients.
  • Strong technical background and a passion for continuous learning and exploring new technologies.
Advantageous Qualifications and Skills:
  • Relevant Microsoft Certifications, such as:
  • Azure Developer Associate
  • DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Prince2 Agile or similar
  • Experience developing in PowerApps and Power Automate
  • Experience with Power BI, particularly developing with Power BI Embedded.
