Opportunity Summary

The Group Sourcing and Supplier Management (GS&SM) team is essential in realizing our strategic goals. We collaborate closely with our clients and supplier network to drive value efficiently and effectively.

This role is pivotal in supporting sourcing initiatives within the Legal Services sector. You will spearhead sourcing projects aimed at enhancing spend management and optimizing commercial outcomes.

Your contributions will be vital in developing category strategies and executing sourcing initiatives that ensure the effective provision of services while managing costs, particularly in relation to emerging technologies such as AI and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contributing to category and sub-category strategies that reflect market trends while optimizing ownership costs to guide sustainable business direction.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities that align with the Group's objectives and drive value for goods and services.
  • Building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to enhance their understanding of sourcing and support sourcing initiatives.
  • Leading cross-functional teams through the sourcing process, leveraging economies of scale through effective contract negotiations and supplier management.
  • Ensuring contractual terms and conditions are aligned with risk mitigation strategies to deliver high-quality services.
  • Collaborating with supplier management teams to establish effective governance structures and ensure smooth contract transitions.
  • Monitoring and reporting on financial benefits against targets, identifying potential risks proactively.
  • Conducting all activities in compliance with Group policies and risk appetite, ensuring a transparent and efficient sourcing process.
  • Staying informed about market dynamics and specialist areas to ensure optimal contract terms that meet customer needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sourcing within the Legal Services category is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Legal Firms.
  • Excellent negotiation skills are a must.
  • Ability to work independently while providing guidance on project management.
  • Proficiency in identifying and managing risks in sourcing processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP Ariba sourcing and contract modules is highly desirable.
  • Background in Financial Services is advantageous.
