Finance Manager Opportunity

Trial Balance Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their team. As a key member of the company, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial control of a small owner-managed business.

The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management, accounting, and analysis. You will be responsible for producing accounts to trial balance, monthly management accounts, and administering accounts payable and receivable. Additionally, you will prepare and administer supplier payment runs, manage VAT reporting requirements, and perform bank reconciliations and petty cash management.

We are looking for a friendly and technically competent individual with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes. The successful candidate will have at least two years' experience in a similar position and possess good all-round IT aptitude. The role works within a busy but very friendly office, so great communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production of accounts to trial balance
  2. Production of monthly management accounts with commentary
  3. Administration of accounts payable and receivable
  4. Preparing and administering supplier payment runs
  5. Aged debtor management
  6. Prepare monthly payroll for onward submission to external payroll service providers
  7. Manage VAT reporting requirements
  8. Bank reconciliations and petty cash management
  9. Cash flow management
  10. Liaise with chartered accountants and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • At least two years' experience in a similar position
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and processes
  • Good all-round IT aptitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
