We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team in Merthyr Tydfil. This is a 24-month fixed-term contract opportunity to work on vehicle assembly and test at our state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities- Work to strict specifications, procedures, schematics, and engineering drawings on projects critical to the MOD.
- Collaborate with the test support, engineering, and Quality functions to ensure high-quality results.
- Utilize hand tools and measuring equipment with high accuracy to complete set-ups and perform quality and performance testing.
- Develop and maintain a strong attention to detail and ability to self-inspect work to ensure quality defects are mitigated.
- Participate in a manufacturing setting with a focus on clean as you go/6S/FOD/Tool control programs.
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Assembly Technician, Armoured Vehicle Technician/Aircraft Assembly Technician, Mechanical Fitter, or similar role.
- Ability to work from written instructions with limited supervision.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
