We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Trainer to join our team at Munich Re. As a Senior Technical Trainer, you will play a key role in developing and delivering comprehensive technical training programs to our staff and customers.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Technical Training Manager in producing and providing technical training to Surveyors, Graduates, Trainees, and other technical and non-technical staff. This will involve working closely with the Technical L&D Manager to ensure continuous development in relation to the delivery of risk management surveying practices and Building Control knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Technical Training Manager in developing and delivering technical training programs.
  • Liaise with the Surveying Network to identify training needs and demands.
  • Produce and maintain technical training modules and training competency tests.
  • Review statistical data and reports to demonstrate knowledge and understanding.
  • Participate in the delivery of the Professional Membership program, including the chartership course and technical reports.
  • Deliver Risk Management training and Building Control training to area teams, external training, and webinars.
  • Contribute to the effective delivery of virtual training and webinars.
  • Assist in the delivery of the annual technical training conference.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
  • Technical knowledge of Building Regulations, associated legislation, and construction standards.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Building Regulations and associated legislation.
  • Relevant BC experience, plan check, site inspection, and warranty, quality, or defect resolution experience.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of pathways towards professional membership bodies associated with Warranty and Building Control.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good planning skills and a methodical approach to organisation.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office and eLearning creation packages.
