About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Royal Mail. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for performing a range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a variety of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles
  • Use personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair
  • Access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in modern, fully equipped workshops
Requirements
  • Qualified mechanic with IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent
  • Varied vehicle experience, preferably working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV / HGV
  • Valid UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience
  • High working standards, taking pride in work and ensuring job is done effectively
  • Flexible to service demands, able to work on a flexible shift rota
What We Offer
  • Salary: £38,114 per annum plus shift allowance of £84.06 per week when working 13:30 - 22:00 shift
  • Additional weekend supplement on Saturday (£50 per shift)
  • Eligible for welcome bonus of £1,500*
