Job Title: Night Support Assistant

The Night Support Assistant role will complement the larger team within our sixteen-plus accommodation service, ensuring children and young people are provided with oversight and support throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-going oversight of several properties and various types of accommodation.
  • Be the first line of contact for young people and support children and young people who are homeless or at high risk of homelessness.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure children and young people receive the support they need.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of support plans for young people.
Requirements:
  • Commitment to improving the life chances of children and young people.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working within an Ofsted regulated service.
  • Competent communication skills and ability to apply the values of Wakefield Council.
  • Vehicle owner/driver with a good standard of word processing skills.
  • Ability to work unsocial hours, including weekends.
