IT Service Desk Support Specialist
Role Overview
Rapid7 is seeking a highly motivated and resourceful IT Service Desk Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our service experience team, you will have the opportunity to work with a community that is passionate about security and dedicated to developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional support to internal business partners globally, acting as a single point of contact for technical issues and requests.
- Onboard new hires, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience through our global onboarding process.
- Collaborate with extended teams on notable projects, leveraging your technical expertise to drive results.
- Contribute to our existing knowledge base, sharing your expertise and best practices with the team.
- Configure, test, and deploy workstations, ensuring a high level of technical proficiency.
- Manage assets and track inventory, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.
- Administer licenses and create accounts, ensuring seamless access to company resources.
- Stay up-to-date with new processes, procedures, and releases, applying your knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a BSc or MS Degree in Computing Technology, Business in Information Technology, or a related discipline, with a strong academic record and a 12-month placement opportunity.
- Residing in Northern Ireland and holding the Right to Work within the UK.
- Knowledgeable of basic computer hardware, operating systems, active directory, and networking (e.g., MacOS, Windows, or Linux).
- Passionate about technology and able to learn quickly, with a strong desire to apply your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Able to display strong interpersonal skills, both within the team and cross-functionally, with a focus on building rapport and user experience.
- Results-oriented and collaborative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
