Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Process Control Engineer to oversee the operations at our sewage treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a team of Process Controllers to ensure the seamless and efficient functioning of the treatment works around the clock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the comprehensive operation of the treatment processes, equipment, and systems.
  • Monitor, compile, and report operational data to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards while meeting quality benchmarks and customer needs.
  • Diagnose process issues and implement immediate corrective actions, escalating to maintenance teams as necessary.
  • Support on-site capital projects, coordinating with maintenance and operational staff to optimize financial performance from energy generation.
  • Conduct safety and security inspections.
  • Assume personal accountability for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues.

Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in a relevant sector with a focus on managing or controlling treatment processes.
  • Technical qualifications such as City & Guilds or HNC are preferred.
  • Completion of NVQ level 2 units, BTEC, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Willingness to undergo training in safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently during 12-hour shifts, both day and night.
  • Proficient in using company IT systems and standard office software.
  • Experience with SCADA systems is advantageous.
