About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapy interventions to children with developmental language disorders and specific speech disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose children with delays and disorders of communication, speech, and language
  • Develop and deliver appropriate specialist intervention/care plans/enhanced models of SLT for children with delays and disorders of communication, speech, and language
  • Provide specialist knowledge, advice, training, and teaching to parents, carers, students, and SLT team in all aspects of management of speech, language, and communication delays and disorders in children
  • Work as part of the integrated therapies multi-disciplinary team ensuring the delivery of joined-up care plans
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary support for clients with a range of speech, language, and communication difficulties
Requirements
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent
  • HCPC Licence to Practice
  • Experience working with clients who have a range of speech, language, and communication needs in community and mainstream settings
  • Experience of working in a multi-agency and/or multi-disciplinary team
