About the Role:
  • Support learners with special educational needs in a variety of settings, including classrooms and therapy rooms.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide emotional and social support to learners, promoting their well-being and self-esteem.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that learners receive a high-quality education.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to identify and address the needs of learners, ensuring that they receive the support they require.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with learners, teachers, and other professionals.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to promoting the well-being and self-esteem of learners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Basic knowledge of special educational needs, including Autism, Speech and Language Communication Needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
