About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Accounting Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting systems by accurately recording financial data.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain financial records and documentation.
  • Support the team in meeting deadlines and achieving financial objectives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • AAT Technician/NVQ Accounting Level 4 or equivalent qualification (or studying towards) or Equivalent Experience.
  • Five GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English grade C or above
  • Proficiency in using online general ledger computer systems.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with numerical data accurately.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of payroll systems.
  • Familiarity with NHS Shared Business Services Systems.
  • Previous experience working within a financial environment, particularly in the healthcare sector.
  • Basic understanding of the Trust Financial Regime.
