Job SummaryWe are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team for a fixed-term period of 15 months to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounting and financial analysis, focusing on assets, creditors, and intercompany accounting requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Monthly accounting: Assist in the month-end close accounting process, including assets, creditors, and intercompany accounting, as directed by the Finance Manager.
- Monthly P&L reviews: Assist with monthly profit and loss reviews, including revenue recognition, margins, and opex, and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
- Fixed Asset Accounting: Manage fixed asset accounting, reporting, monitoring, and forecasting.
- Government Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit VAT returns for assigned companies and groups.
- Preparation and submission of EC Despatches and EC Sales: Prepare and submit EC Despatches and EC Sales for assigned companies.
- Audit and Statutory Accounts: Assist with audit tasks, documentation, and liaison with external auditors, and contribute to the generation of statutory accounts.
- Ad hoc duties: Perform ad hoc duties as required, including cash flow forecasting.
- Qualified accountant with substantial experience in a finance team.
- Strong accounting and analysis skills and understanding.
- Proven ability for motivation, commitment, organization, and working with limited supervision.
