About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at HMP The Mount, a male prison. As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise staff and ensure the effective maintenance of plumbing and heating systems
- Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Work on commercial or industrial heating and water or building services systems
- Manage and maintain a range of plumbing and heating equipment
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal system performance
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
We are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor with:
- Five years' experience as a plumber or equivalent
- Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water or building services systems
- Experience of supervising staff
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
- Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification - Desirable
- Relevant professional qualifications (facilities management/project management) - Desirable
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
