Transport Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Administration Supervisor to join our team at Great Bear, a leading distribution services provider to FMCG clients. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and manage trailer tracking systems to optimize kit utilization and ensure maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate trailer operations between transport and warehouse teams to achieve effective operational performance.
- Oversee the maintenance and servicing of our fleet, ensuring compliance with company procedures and schedules.
- Manage on-site fleet services, including vehicle and trailer turnaround times, and progress part requirements.
- Assist the Transport Manager and Transport Operations Manager in sourcing additional kit for peak periods.
- Supervise on-site contractors related to transport functions and ensure control through the EOA.
- Good commercial knowledge of transport operations and logistics.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to network with suppliers and customers.
- Budget management skills desirable, with training provided.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
