We are seeking dedicated and caring nurses to join our bank team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a bank nurse, you will have the flexibility to choose shifts that suit your schedule and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment alongside passionate healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with teaching patients in preparation for investigations, treatment, and home care.
- Deliver skilled, specialized nursing care with supervision until competent, including wound dressings, removal of drains, and insertion of urinary catheters.
- Develop an awareness of protocols involved for patients undergoing clinical trials.
- Be aware of all hospital policies and procedures and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure their observance.
- Be rostered as part of the ward to care for patients over a 24-hour period.
We are looking for nurses who are registered with the NMC and have evidence of ongoing professional development. Desirable qualifications include experience in oncology or a related area, recent experience within an acute setting, and a minimum of 6 months post-registration. Computer literacy is also desirable.
