Job Summary:
This is a challenging role that requires a strong background in IT and business management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the portfolio of digital transformation projects across the FCAS retained line of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the portfolio of digital transformation projects across the FCAS retained line of business.
- Support the transition of digital capabilities that are being migrated into the GCAP JV Business.
- Develop and implement the business IT strategy in relation to project management, ensuring that it aligns with the business needs and objectives.
- Manage the provision of portfolio, programme, and project support, advising on available standards, procedures, methods, tools, and techniques.
- Lead programme/project leads and/or service owners to adhere to the agreed portfolio management approach and timetable.
- Produce reports as appropriate for portfolio governance, including making recommendations for changes to the portfolio.
- Develop organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for improvement, allowing the organisation to quickly improve and implement business processes to meet business requirements.
- Manage day-to-day business relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and suppliers.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and business management, with experience in managing and inputting to strategic business plans. They will also have a good level of experience in supporting the delivery of medium-sized projects in a couple of the project management skill sets.
