Are you looking for a fulfilling career that allows you to make a significant difference in the lives of children and young individuals? If you possess qualities such as dynamism, adaptability, resilience, dedication, and enthusiasm, your support can greatly benefit our young residents.

Our facilities are registered with the regulatory body and are dedicated to providing care for children and young people with varying disabilities, tailored to their unique needs and care plans. We strive to create a nurturing environment that feels like home while enhancing their life experiences and fostering independence.

We operate on a three-shift system (morning, evening, and night) and are available throughout the year.

Working in our residential care settings is one of the most gratifying career paths you can choose. While the role can be emotionally and physically demanding, if you have the passion and commitment, you will find it to be an exciting and rewarding experience.

We are in search of a motivated and enthusiastic Support Specialist to join our dedicated and welcoming teams. You will primarily work within our residential care facilities while also providing support to other locations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist children and young people in achieving their personal aspirations and goals.
  • Encourage positive outcomes for the children.
  • Foster a fun and supportive atmosphere.
  • Organize and participate in engaging activities.
  • Innovate and seek new methods to engage with the children.

Desired Personal Attributes:
  • Ability to connect and build positive relationships with children and young people.
  • Maintain composure in challenging situations.
  • Implement appropriate boundaries.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Adapt and respond swiftly to changing circumstances.
  • Exhibit empathy, emotional resilience, and self-awareness.

This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and their families.

As part of the organization, you will enjoy generous annual leave, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, eligibility for enhanced family leave and sick pay, and comprehensive training opportunities tailored to your personal development.

We prioritize the growth of our staff through regular reviews and have a strong track record of supporting individuals in their career advancement.

All staff receive support through monthly one-on-one sessions and have access to a wellbeing support program.

We provide a thorough induction and shadowing process for all new employees, along with excellent training and development opportunities.

Please ensure that your application includes a supporting statement that clearly demonstrates how you meet the essential and desirable criteria outlined in the job description. Incomplete applications may not be considered.

Note: We do not sponsor visas for this position; UK Right to Work is required.

We are committed to fostering a diverse workforce and providing an inclusive and safe environment. We welcome applications from individuals who share our commitment to combating discrimination, challenging inequality, and promoting diversity. We also offer flexible working arrangements to accommodate various needs.

We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
