Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing our compliance program in North America, working closely with our business and leadership teams to ensure ethics and compliance initiatives are aligned with our company's goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program to ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations.
- Maintain and continuously improve our ethics and compliance program, including drafting, reviewing, and revising policies and procedures to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments to identify and address potential compliance issues.
- Implement our global anti-bribery and anti-corruption framework.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards and update policies and procedures accordingly.
- Provide advice on compliance matters related to our operations, including real estate, construction, human resources, data privacy, permitting, and other areas as needed.
- Support ESG and D&I and corporate sustainability programs and initiatives.
- Implement and improve our compliance system tools, including the whistleblower hotline and case management tool.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Compliance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- JD from an accredited law school is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs, with a significant portion in the data center or technology industry.
- Significant compliance experience, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption, trade compliance, data privacy, internal investigations, and whistleblower/anonymous reporting; extensive trade compliance experience is preferred.
- Corporate compliance and ethics experience, preferably at a premier law firm, governmental enforcement authority, and/or multi-nation company is desired but not required; at least 3 years of experience as in-house compliance counsel preferred.
- Experience using statistical analysis and other presentation data formats.
- Experience leading and balancing critical projects from inception to completion.
- Salary Range: $145,000 - $160,000 Base + Bonus.
- This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
- Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
