Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Atlas Copco. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the control of all capital expenditure, statutory reporting, and tax compliance.

Statutory Accounting and Tax Compliance

  • Produce the statutory accounts, including supporting evidence and reconciliations.
  • Ensure all tax compliance matters are handled, including Corporation tax, VAT, and RDEC submissions.
  • Coordinate the external audit process and promote best practice in internal control compliance.

Fixed Asset Management

  • Support investment applications and follow up on their status.
  • Maintain and verify the fixed asset register.
  • Monitor R&D capital projects and perform impairment reviews.

Business Partnering and Collaboration

  • Act as a Finance Business Partner to the R&D function, providing analysis and recommendations.
  • Provide finance training to non-finance teams to enhance their financial acumen.
  • Support the finance team in month-end close, forecasting, and business planning activities.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support digitalisation and continuous improvement projects within the finance department and across other departments.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in statutory accounts preparation and tax compliance.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems, such as SysPro or SAP.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
