Electrical Service/Maintenance Engineer

Panks Engineers Ltd is a reputable company with a rich history dating back to 1842. We have established a strong presence in Norwich and Ipswich, and due to our expansion, we are seeking experienced Electrical and Service Engineers to join our Service and Contract teams in Norwich.

This is a full-time position with a three-month probation period, after which the role will become permanent if successful.

Job Summary:

  • We are looking for an experienced Electrician with knowledge of installing Motors, Pumps, Control panels, and electrical services associated with clean water and waste water systems.
  • The role involves technical, electrical, and mechanical work, as well as hands-on fault finding, supporting customers with breakdowns and installations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Servicing, fault diagnosis, maintenance, and responding to breakdowns with clean and dirty water systems.
  • Carrying out electrical testing and certification of electrical circuits.
  • Ability to read panel drawings and understand control equipment.
  • Providing support on technical issues for customers and staff.
  • Electrical & Mechanical support of installations in a Commercial and Domestic environment.
  • Working to recognised industry standards at all times.
  • Assisting other trades as required.
  • Site managing and supporting projects from start to finish.
  • Ensuring all paperwork for projects is kept up to date.
  • Supporting the Manager with any duties required.
  • Responsible for weekend/evening emergency callouts on a rota with other engineers.
  • Good working knowledge of BS7671.
  • Working knowledge of pipework installations and pumps.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent AM2.
  • Testing and inspection and certification of electrical circuits.
  • CSCS / ECS Card.
  • 18th Edition.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience.

  • Pay: From £35,000.00 per year.
