Position Overview:
This role necessitates that candidates fulfill specific criteria to be eligible for consideration. Applicants should possess the relevant expertise and educational qualifications to excel in this position.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must be reachable for appointment from the existing Civil Service eligible list.
Transfer Eligibility:
Candidates are required to have a minimum of one year of permanent service as a Psychologist 2 or in a comparable role for transfer eligibility. This transfer should occur within two salary grades of the grade 23 level.

Provisional Appointment:
In the absence of a valid eligible list, candidates may qualify for provisional appointment based on established criteria.

Promotion Path:
The minimum requirement is one year of permanent service as a Psychologist 1.

Open Competitive:
Applicants must possess a master's degree in psychology from an accredited institution. The degree program should adequately prepare graduates for roles in clinical, forensic, or community mental health environments.
- Must have a degree that included a clinical psychology practicum, externship, or clinical fieldwork.
- Two years of supervised post-master's degree psychology experience are required.

Important Note:
Relevant experience in administering assessments, conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing behavior support plans, providing counseling, and delivering treatment is essential.
- Experience should encompass various domains such as mental disorders, cognitive disorders, behavioral disorders, addiction, and forensic mental health.
- Degrees in education, counseling, hypnosis, human relations, and similar fields are not qualifying.
Ensure that you are not listed as an excluded individual on Medicaid or Medicare lists to qualify for this position.
- Job Responsibilities:
This position entails complex problem-solving tasks, increased responsibilities, and the opportunity to oversee staff members.
