Oracle DBA Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to design and implement complex Database Server solutions for mid to enterprise level organisations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing and supporting Oracle technologies, with excellent performance tuning and optimization skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and support Oracle Database environments from versions 11g upwards
  • Design and implement complex Database Server solutions
  • Develop and maintain high-performance database systems
  • Migrate to Oracle OCI and AWS RDS
  • Implement disaster recovery methods and capacity planning
  • Upgrade and migrate large and multiple database environments
  • Prepare and prove procedures for migrations
  • Identify and correct performance issues
  • Review systems and error logs, storage management, backups, job monitoring, optimization efforts, data integrity analysis and resolving database contention issues
Requirements:
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware (WebLogic) with Oracle Forms and Reports
  • Knowledge of Oracle Exadata Database Machine
  • Experience with third-party backup and monitoring tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
