About the Role:

SF Recruitment (Executive) is seeking a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer to join a successful, private equity backed business in the distribution sector. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for driving financial growth and building a best-in-class finance function.

About the Business:

The company is a leading player in the distribution space, with a strong track record of growth and a planned exit in 3-5 years. As CFO, you will be instrumental in maximizing this growth and ensuring maximum value is achieved through a well-planned exit strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with private equity investors, banks, non-executives, and the wider Board
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Manage risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CFO in a private equity backed business or a similar sector
  • Strong track record of delivering PE to trade exits, private to trade exits, or PE to PE exits
  • Experience of leading finance teams and driving business growth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely with the CEO and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives
