Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer/SRE who is passionate about AWS, Spring, Microservices, DevOps, and Architecture. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Digital Waffle and contribute to the development of our cloud infrastructure and microservices-based applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and maintain our AWS-based cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
- Optimise Microservices Architecture: Manage and optimise microservices architecture for performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Implement Monitoring and Logging: Implement best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging Technologies: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise system architecture for maximum efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Software Engineer/SRE in a cloud environment, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Expertise in Microservices Architecture: Expertise in microservices architecture and Spring framework.
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Containerisation and Orchestration: Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Infrastructure as Code: Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
- Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
