About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Mental Health Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a key role in providing clinical pharmacy services to patients with mental illness, enhancing the safe and effective use of medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the provision and development of pharmaceutical services within the Trust, as part of the pharmacy team.
  • Participate as an active member of specific wards/units/clinical teams, supporting the safe and effective use of medicines.
  • Contribute to the organisation and management of the clinical pharmacy service to specific wards/units/clinical teams.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy advice on the management of patients with mental illness, maximising benefit and minimising risk in relation to medicines.
  • Support and participate in clinical audit, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Support in the education and training of staff groups, promoting excellence in pharmacy practice.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • General Pharmaceutical Council registration.
  • PG certificate/diploma in mental health pharmacy or equivalent experience.
  • Member of the RPS/Faculty membership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Evidence of CPD.
