Job Summary:

Flying Trade Group is seeking a skilled Production Operative to join our team in Harwich, Essex. As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of food products, maintaining high quality standards, and adhering to health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and pack food products, label cartons, and stack them in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Organize production processes to maximize efficiency and meet production targets.
  • Ensure quality standards for all products are met, and raise any concerns to the Production Manager or Engineers.
  • Follow company procedures for Health, Hygiene, and Safety, as well as Food Safety.
  • Manage the operation of the assigned production line and report any issues or breakdowns to the Production Manager or Engineers.
  • Identify potential areas for improvement in production methods and processes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a food production environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Attention to detail is imperative.
  • Good numeracy and written skills are required.
  • Confident working in a team and independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic, conveying confidence and passion in delivering high-quality service.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Achieving a high standard of punctuality and attendance, following company production rules, adhering to health and safety rules, and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Manual handling is required, and training will be provided.
