Key Responsibilities- Provide Clinical Leadership: You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide clinical leadership and expertise in HPB surgery, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.
- Develop and Implement Clinical Services: You will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical services that meet the needs of our patients, including the development of new treatments and procedures.
- Contribute to Research and Education: You will contribute to the development of research and education programs in HPB surgery, ensuring that our team remains at the forefront of clinical practice and innovation.
- Provide Teaching and Training: You will provide teaching and training to junior medical staff, ensuring that they receive the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care to patients.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: You will participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- Registerable Medical Qualification: You must hold a registerable medical qualification, such as an MBBS or MBChB.
- FRCS: You must hold a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in General Surgery.
- Higher Degree: You must hold a higher degree, such as an MD or PhD, in a relevant field.
- Full Registration with GMC: You must be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Name on GMC Specialist Register: You must have your name on the GMC Specialist Register on the date of taking up appointment.
- Experience in HPB Surgery: You must have wide experience in all aspects of HPB surgery, culminating in the award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR).
