We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Advocate - Childcare Solicitor to join our team at Venn Group. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal advice and representation in complex childcare matters.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on all aspects of advocacy legal work relating to childcare matters in the Family Courts, providing expert legal advice and representation in complex cases.
- Manage a varied caseload of complex childcare matters, including abuse, non-accidental injuries, and child deaths.
- Advise client departments on intricate issues concerning Childcare Law, ensuring that our policies and procedures are compliant with the latest legislation.
- Attend and advise committees, bodies, or panels as required, providing expert guidance on childcare law and policy.
- You are a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with significant experience in childcare law, with a proven track record in advocacy, particularly in the Family Courts.
- You have managed complex legal cases involving child protection and welfare, with a strong understanding of the relevant legislation and policies.
- You are skilled in mediation and arbitration processes, with the ability to negotiate and resolve complex disputes.
- A competitive salary of £52,571 - £55,800, depending on experience.
