Job Title: Club Finance and Business Manager

Company: Saltire Team Gymnastics

Job Summary

The Club Finance and Business Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the club. This includes managing finances, dealing with human resources, maintaining the premises, and liaising with external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Management
  • Manage the club's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial statements for the Board, including quarterly breakdowns of income and expenditure.
  • Attend monthly committee meetings to present a short financial report of key issues.
  • Prepare annual financial reports for any trusts and foundations funders.
Financial Administration
  • Maintain all club financial records, including payments to suppliers, invoicing, rent, and utilities.
  • Prepare invoices for external facility hire and ensure all payments are received.
  • Prepare year-end accounts for external examination and work closely with the auditors as part of the audit process.
Human Resources
  • Manage monthly payroll through Quickbooks and ensure salary, pensions, and SSP contributions have been correctly processed each month.
  • Ensure statutory payroll deductions are paid to HMRC on a monthly basis.
  • Manage payment of pension contributions.
  • Reconcile salary, PAYE, and pension contributions monthly.
  • Calculate holiday entitlement.
Facility Management
  • Oversee facility management, including general and equipment maintenance, insurance requirements, and additional contractors such as cleaners.
Business Development
  • Support the Club Development Manager to maximize club growth and financial performance in line with the business plan.
Health and Safety
  • Write and maintain club policies and procedures in agreement with the Board and Safeguarding Officer, ensuring regular reviews and updates as required.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and administration, with experience in managing financial operations and human resources. They will also have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in finance and administration, such as a degree in accounting or business administration.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in finance and administration.

Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
