Assistant Store Manager

u&i Search is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our client's luxury womens clothing retail business in London. As a key member of the store team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring that each team member does the same.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service in a warm and welcoming environment, maintaining a professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Sales and Service: Be a role model for selling and have a true passion for connecting with customers and creating beautiful wardrobes.
  • Store Operations: Demonstrate the fundamentals of running a store, following company guidelines, including health and safety and keeping a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the store.
  • Staff Management: Motivate staff members to meet and surpass targets, passing on managerial communications and ensuring they are implemented.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain and monitor store inventory, liaising with the warehouse/merchandising team when required.
  • Training and Development: Train staff members and pursue your own training in-store, ensuring the store is clean, safe, and presentable for customers at all times.
  • Leadership Development: Develop as a potential leader and potential Store Manager, taking over responsibility for the store if the Manager is absent.
  • Keyholder: Be a keyholder, responsible for opening and closing the store.
Requirements:
  • Customer Service: Outstanding customer service and communication skills with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Sales and Service: Ability to soft sell products or services to customers.
  • Leadership and Management: Ability to evaluate KPI's and coach team behaviours in the moment, with excellent in-store and product knowledge.
  • Proactivity: Proactive - ability to identify areas for improvement within the team or store.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills.
  • Leadership and Management: Leadership and management skills that demonstrate a potential for further development.
  • Teamwork: Trustworthy and organised, able to motivate and inspire, with the ability to maintain positive working relationships with peers and direct reports.
  • Availability: Able to work weekends.
