Senior Public Engagement Analyst

NICE – The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence is seeking a highly skilled Senior Public Engagement Analyst to play a key role in shaping its programme of deliberative public engagement.

The successful candidate will manage NICE Listens, the Institute's programme of deliberative public engagement, and work on and oversee deliberative public engagement projects at different stages of development. Responsibilities include identifying future topics, literature reviewing, liaising with internal and external partners, and seeking approval from NICE's Executive Team for each project.

Main Responsibilities
  • Proactively work with teams across NICE to identify and prioritise topics requiring deliberative public engagement.
  • Design NICE Listens projects, including developing briefs for Executive Team sign-off.
  • Analyse, interpret and synthesise complex quantitative and qualitative research evidence and data from various sources.
  • Disseminate findings from deliberative public engagement and support implementation across NICE.
  • Contribute to the wider work of the Science Policy and Research team, including methods research, funding applications, science policy work and providing technical support to senior staff.

Person Specification
  • Master's degree or Doctorate, or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience and further training/development, ideally in health or social science research and/or health policy work.
  • Experience of running procurement processes and managing contractors.
  • Aware of the extent and nature of NICE's stakeholder community, including a good understanding of the range and roles of organisations representing the interests of patients and the public.
