Service Advisor Job Description

Actio Automotive Recruitment is seeking a skilled Service Advisor to join our client's successful team in Exeter. As a Service Advisor, you will be the key point of contact for customers in our service department, managing bookings, providing updates, and liaising between the service technicians and customers to ensure a smooth and professional service experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Liaison: Greet customers, handle service inquiries, and manage bookings to ensure a warm and professional service experience.
  • Work Orders: Prepare job cards, explain service and repair details to customers, and provide accurate cost estimates.
  • Communication: Act as the link between customers and the workshop, providing updates on vehicle progress and any additional work required.
  • Upselling: Identify and recommend additional products or services that would benefit the customer's vehicle.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all customer issues and service-related concerns are resolved to a high standard.
  • Administration: Manage customer records, service histories, and follow-up communications.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring services are delivered efficiently and on time.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a Service Advisor role or a customer-facing position within the automotive industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple bookings and tasks at once.
  • Technical Knowledge: An understanding of vehicle mechanics and repair processes (preferred, but not essential).
  • Customer Focused: A passion for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in using service management software and Microsoft Office applications.
