Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Swift Temps (North West) Ltd is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Summary:
  • Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance to a range of machinery, including shrink wrappers, conveyors, generators, chillers, and bottling machinery.
  • React to equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime and ensuring efficient production.
  • Perform electrical repairs, including work on motors, drivers, inverters, encoders, boards, wiring, switches, relays, contractors, and sensors.
  • Conduct PLC fault finding and interrogation to identify and resolve issues.
  • Record and commission all fault findings, ensuring accurate documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist with projects, including the installation of new plant and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the engineering manager and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement line improvements, new installations, and office repairs.
  • Perform planned maintenance and other tasks as assigned by the engineering manager.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Apprentice training or qualifications.
  • Experience in electronics, PLC, and mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency in Mig Tig welding.
  • Fault finding and maintenance experience.
  • Experience in the food and drinks manufacturing industry.
Working Hours:

Core hours of 48 hours per week, based around 5 days per week, Monday - Saturday.
