About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Lighting Designer to join our Specialist and Architectural Lighting Team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating innovative lighting solutions for a wide range of projects, from commercial and residential to public spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver lighting projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality results and meeting client expectations.
  • Provide technical lighting consultancy and design support for interior and exterior projects, incorporating sustainable design practices and electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and other disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution and deliver projects that meet client goals.
  • Promote the benefits of good lighting design within AtkinsRéalis and externally at industry events.
  • Ensure all work is delivered to a high level of quality, professionalism, and on time and to budget.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in delivering specialist and architectural lighting concepts and designs for interior and exterior applications.
  • Strong understanding of lighting principles, sustainable design practices, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with advanced lighting control systems and smart technologies.
  • Proficiency in lighting design and rendering software, including DIALux, Relux, AutoCAD, Revit, and Daylight study software.
  • Ability to prepare project and design deliverables, such as specifications, schedules, and reports.
  • Knowledge and experience recognized by peers as an expert in lighting.
  • Ability to apply lighting standards and experience to deliver client vision and requirements.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, including with clients and contractors.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest lighting technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
