Visual Effects Artist

We are seeking a skilled Visual Effects Artist to join our team at RealtimeUK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality visual effects for our AAA console titles.

Your primary focus will be on developing, testing, and refining various FX based on detailed client and studio briefs. You will also be responsible for creating and refining materials and shaders to form the foundation of your FX work.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and refine FX based on client and studio briefs.
  2. Create and refine materials and shaders.
  3. Optimise and fine-tune FX.
  4. Develop blueprints to support FX.
Requirements:
  1. Proficient in UE5, particularly the material editor.
  2. Strong knowledge of Blueprints in UE5.
  3. Experience with at least one program for creating maps and textures, such as Photoshop or Substance Suite.
  4. Experience with Niagara.
Essential Skills and Qualities:
  1. A strong portfolio showcasing quality FX work.
  2. Good eye for final asset creation and ability to follow briefs.
  3. Experience with Source Control Environments, such as Perforce or P4.
  4. Ability to work as part of a small team and follow direction.
  5. Good organisational skills and self-discipline.
  6. Ability to work under deadline pressure and prioritise tasks.
  7. Open to learning new techniques and software packages.
