Job Opportunity:
SEN Learning Support Specialist


We are seeking a passionate SEN Learning Support Specialist to become an integral part of a dedicated team within a specialized educational institution, providing essential support to students with special educational needs.

This position entails collaborating closely with children aged 4-11 to promote their well-being, academic growth, and holistic development.

Key Responsibilities:
Attend to the personal needs of students, encompassing social, health, hygiene, intimate care, first-aid, and welfare, in alignment with institutional policies.
Maintain high and achievable expectations for all students.
Provide administrative assistance to educators, including photocopying, record-keeping, and creating visual aids.
Assist in formulating individual education plans (IEPs) and personal care programs tailored to students' needs.
Supervise and offer both individual and group support for students with diverse special educational needs.
Deliver effective, personalized feedback to students, fostering their progress and success.
Annotate student work to a high standard, adhering to institutional requirements.
Utilize ICT in educational activities, aiding students in developing their skills and independence in technology use.
Apply curricular knowledge or experience to enhance students' learning.
Oversee entire classes during the short-term absence of a teacher.
Communicate with parents, families, and various professionals as directed by the educator.
Take initiative to devise and implement strategies that promote students' learning, progress, and achievement.

Supervise students during various activities and in different areas of the institution, such as the cafeteria, playground, and during meal times.

Perform any additional reasonable duties as assigned by the Head Teacher or Deputy Head Teacher.

Requirements:
Experience in working with and caring for children of the relevant age group.
Strong numeracy and literacy capabilities.
Experience with SEN is preferred.
Proficiency in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
Flexibility and initiative in managing tasks and challenges.
