Our team at Brenntag is seeking a skilled Operator, days to join our Sandbach terminal team.
The Sandbach terminal is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week operation, serving as the primary bulk inorganics chemical terminal for Brenntag UK. Our terminal handles caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, ferric chloride, and poly-aluminium chloride, with dilution facilities for caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, and sulphuric acid.
This role encompasses all aspects of the site's function, including:
- Weighing in and out of vehicles, printing loading notes, and assisting drivers with paperwork and product sampling.
- Operating the plant following site procedures effectively and safely, without detriment to the environment, in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Operating the bespoke computer loading/blending equipment, loading and offloading bulk road tankers safely, and adhering to site instructions and policy.
- Sampling and testing chemicals, completing certificates of product conformity, and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Completing system checks and plant logs as required, reporting any plant issues in a timely manner, and preparing and isolating plant equipment for maintenance.
- Undertaking basic cleaning and maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and painting, and ensuring tankers presenting to load or discharge have the correct consignment number and are the correct type for the product to be loaded.
