York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking dedicated and patient-centered pharmacists or trainee pharmacists to become part of our welcoming Pharmacy team. This role is ideal for individuals eager to enhance their clinical expertise and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
In this full-time position, you will have the chance to acquire clinical experience across various specialties, including elderly care, respiratory health, diabetes management, cardiology, stroke care, gastroenterology, and acute medical admissions. Additionally, you will complete a 4-month rotation in Mental Health with our local Mental Health and Learning Disabilities NHS Trust.
We offer a personalized induction plan and mentorship, welcoming applicants regardless of their previous hospital pharmacy experience. Responsibilities will be gradually introduced as you gain experience, and you will receive support to enhance your clinical knowledge and skills.
After a minimum of 12 months in the role and upon demonstrating your ability to meet key responsibilities, you will be eligible for advancement to a band 7 position.
We actively promote your professional development through a postgraduate clinical diploma, providing you with a senior tutor and dedicated study time. Opportunities for further development in non-medical prescribing will also be available.
You will offer sessional support to Technical Services, Medicines Information, and Dispensary. Participation in weekend rotas and on-call duties (approximately once a month) will also be expected.

- Completion of pre-registration training.
