Welding Team Leader Opportunity

A&P Tyne is seeking a skilled Welding Team Leader to oversee and coordinate the work of our coded welders, ensuring projects are completed to strict industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team of welders to achieve project goals, prioritizing and scheduling tasks effectively.
  • Coordinate team activities to complete daily and weekly targets, guiding and supporting team members to foster a positive and efficient workplace.
  • Log activities, including project details, timings, and quality control reports.
  • Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development, ensuring they are followed up.
  • Address equipment malfunctions promptly to maintain optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • Supervisory/leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills.
  • A time-served welder within fabrication or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of trade processes, techniques, and equipment.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in a fabrication environment.
