Role Summary: We are in search of a Communications Manager to oversee and execute our comprehensive communications initiatives, which encompass content management, digital strategy, branding, and stakeholder relations.

This role is pivotal in shaping and executing our communications framework, ensuring excellence in all external messaging through the management of the Centre for Disaster Protection's publications, online presence, newsletters, events, podcasts, social media, and other communication formats. Your expertise will be essential in translating intricate research into engaging content, leveraging your exceptional communication, interpersonal, and project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance in Publications: Ensure high standards of publication quality across the team, providing mentorship and guidance on best practices, templates, and processes.
  • Content Production Management: Oversee the content production pipeline, managing the end-to-end creation of outputs from research projects to final publication.
  • Content Development and Distribution: Collaborate with teams to curate and develop engaging content in various formats, ensuring our website remains vibrant and informative.
  • Digital Strategy and Branding: Manage the Centre's online presence, enhancing brand identity and ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Daily Communications Oversight: Handle day-to-day communications tasks, including work planning and administration, while maintaining up-to-date guidance documents.

The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of professional experience, particularly in content management and research communication, demonstrating:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
