Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Production Artist to join our team at Matthews International. As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality artworks from design master files, corporate guidelines, and briefs supplied.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create print-ready artwork from design files, corporate guidelines, and print specifications.
  • Adhere to an artwork checklist to ensure the highest possible standard.
  • Have excellent brand and design awareness, actively supporting the client's creative design team in maintaining the client's brand.
  • Produce technically correct artwork ready for auto repro, considering all aspects of packaging, including colors, varnishes, whites, printer specifications, and mark-up.
  • Work with the Studio Manager, internal creative artwork team, QA, Pre-production to ensure consistent artwork across the account.
  • Be up-to-date with all master guidelines relevant to the client and ensure all ranges are consistent with masters/guidelines.
  • Meet all required deadlines for assigned clients in conjunction with the Production Manager.
  • Be proficient in all relevant software and utilize the MIS and any other required systems correctly.
  • Participate in the studio team, communicating well and working towards a right-first-time approach.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Packaging designer/artworker.
  • Excellent illustrator skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Confidence to work on a variety of briefs and resolve any issues.
  • Accuracy and high levels of attention to detail.
